DRIVING THE WORLD

Hello and thank you for having a look at our site. We finished the 2007 Peking to Paris Motor Challenge in July 2007 and lay low while we recuperated and planned what we are going to do in the future. We did compete in the Wolslely Club of Ireland's 1,000 mile Trial in September 2007. This took us around the whole island in mostly horrendous weather. There was some pretty sharp competition at the front of the field but we managed to win our class!

During April and May 2008 we entered the Celtic Malts Classic Reliability Trial. It began locally in Belfast and took us around the north of Ireland into Donegal then around Scotalnd. Very intense competition was expected and we weren't dissapointed. Unfortunately, the Talbot wasn't ready as we were still bringing the engine back up to it's true performance level. Instead, we took Penny's 1948 MG TC and you can read about it by clicking the button above.

We considered taking a break from long-distance, far-off competition for the rest of the year but at the last minute discovered that some of the friends we'd made on the Peking to Paris had entered the "Icelandic Odyssey" in September. We were never ones to shirk a challenge, soduly applied for an entry.

We've finished our fund raising for the Riding for the Disabled Association on the Peking to Paris and reached just over £15,000. RDA are still always seeking funds. Click on the link to the left for more information.

We'll try to keep this site updated a bit more often from now on.
